First let’s understand why mismatched energy and limiting beliefs sabotage so many entrepreneurs.

A belief is simply patterns of thought that you have thought over and over until they form a pathway in your brain.

EnergyRICH® Example: Think of a well-worn path in the woods. It wasn’t always there; at one point, was just grass and brush, but when you walk there again and again, suddenly there’s a path. And you may even assume it’s always been there. It doesn’t occur to you to even go a different way. In your understanding, it’s the way it should be. And it’s the same with your thoughts and beliefs around what it means to sell.

You may find yourself thinking thoughts, like…

• It’s hard to get clients
• Moving people from a sample session into a paying client is hard
• No one will pay for my services in this economy

These thoughts also have self-judging thoughts attached to them.

• What if I don’t get enough clients?
• What if I fail?
• What do I say when they say no?
• What if what I have to offer isn’t good enough?
• What if this all comes to nothing?
• I won’t be able to pay my bills, my friends and family will be right, I’ll have to get a real job and do work that I hate …

And on and on and on…. these are what I call ‘backstage thoughts’.

These “back stage thoughts” have feelings attached to them or an energy activated.

Feelings like:

• Fear
• Panic
• Worry

And that creates a downward spiral.

These backstage emotional reactions create an energy or frequency, and we are all like radio transmitters. These feelings are projecting a frequency and attracting other like frequencies.

So if you are dreading connecting with prospects, then guess what? They are picking that up. It’s a mismatch. It doesn’t matter what you say; there are so many entrepreneurs who are looking for the exact right words, but it’s what you’re truly thinking and believing that’s being brought to the situation.

Keep in mind, the backstage is supposed to be supporting what’s happening on stage. And great news! You get to set up a supportive back stage so that IS what happens for you when you are entering into a selling conversation.

How do you do this?

The best way to clear your energy and beliefs around selling is to clearly, authentically get your backstage supporting your onstage 110%.

When I coach with EnergyRICH® entrepreneurs, we pinpoint the story around these energy mismatches around selling. From there I am able to teach them a simple, powerful process to retrain their minds, to create new pathways and new frequencies to assist you in taking actions that will result in your life and business flourishing.

A result of those inner shifts and then ideal prospects feel you and react to you differently. Prospects that would never have felt connected before now feel compelled to work with you. It’s simply and it’s rewarding for both of you, and you have tons of clients saying ‘yes’. Again, their experience is that you are an answer to a prayer.

Here’s a quick exercise so you can get clear about where your energy and beliefs currently are around selling

Step 1: Ask yourself: “What don’t I want when I buy something?”

Some examples might be:

• I don’t want to feel like I’m pushed into a corner
• I don’t want to be talked down to
• I don’t want to be pressured
• I don’t want to act out of guilt

Whatever it is for you, you want to get clear about what you don’t want to experience.

Step 2: List out: “What DO I want when I buy something?”

Once you get very clear on the specific elements you don’t want to experience in the selling situation, and then you can create a structured selling approach that creates the opposite experience for your ideal clients.

So you have to get clear about what YOU want when you’re buying and then CREATE an aligned selling system from there.

1. Choose to get clear about your current beliefs around selling. Ask yourself: ‘What don’t I want when I buy something?’

2. Start to identify the opposite experience you want to offer to your ideal clients. List out a “DO want” to partner with all of your “Don’t wants” when it comes to selling.

3. Once you are clear about how you want your selling conversations to flow, step into connect with your ideal JV partners to attract those ideal clients and practice your selling conversations! EnergyRICH® Magnetic Connection #1: Your Ideal Client is a version of you.

She wants what you want She believes what you believe She feels what you feel

So if you discard your desires, your heart, your energy and simply choose your ideal client from your head because you think you should, or someone told you to focus on a specific group or you believe that only a certain type of person can pay … you have limited your possibilities and just made client connections very hard for yourself.

This will leave you feeling frustrated, hiding behind your computer and without any clients.

EnergyRICH® Magnetic Connection #2: Build the vision of your ideal client

What are the qualities of your ideal client?

- Be very specific in every aspect

- Focus all qualities on positive attributes

- Think about the qualities you WANT them to have (not the qualities you don’t want them to have)

- List every quality you can think of

- This is YOUR vision of YOUR ideal client. Be very clear about it.

EnergyRICH® Magnetic Connection #3: Visualize the people you want to draw to you like a magnet …

Create a scene in which you imagine yourself interacting with your ideal client. You are talking to them, hearing what they are saying, feeling good, living everything that feels great about connecting with this person.

Now imagine you have a magnetic white light coming from your heart. Imagine this is a beacon of energy that is sending out a call to those that you can serve. There is a stream of light for each person you are meant to serve. Just allow this light to fan out into as many streams as it needs to. Each beam of light connects with a person who wants what you have and will be ready to allocate resources to pay you what you want to receive – easily. Feel them being drawn down this beam of light – right to you!

EnergyRICH® Hint: I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase “When the student is ready the teacher appears”, yes? Well, the opposite is true; too … when the teacher is ready the students appear (your clients/customers/perfect partners/divine match etc.)!

Today is the best day to start BEing a match and the magnet for your ideal client.

Once you are clear on their qualities (the same ones you find within you!) and activate them in yourself, you’ll see them more and more in others. Then your ideal clients will feel it in you, and be drawn to you like flies to honey.

You’ll really start to notice who’s aligned with you and who is not. Don’t work so hard trying to attract those who are not a fit for you.

3. Celebrate when you attract the kind of clients that you really want. Write it down! Send yourself an e-mail! Do a dance! Buy a charm for a bracelet! You’ll be amazed at the magnetic power of activating the energy of celebration!

"Celebrating One of My Favorite Birthday Presents!"

Thank you so much for all of the beautiful card, gifts, flowers and Facebook birthday wishes I received! I am so appreciative to feel the love! I DO truly love my birthday. So much so that I always like to send myself a little something … this year it was the bouquet of flowers you see in the above photo. Along with the flowers I sent myself this note:

Now before you might go into thinking, ‘wtf?’ Let me explain. See, one thing I’ve come to realize is that most of us are often waiting for OTHERS (family, friends, clients, colleagues …) to affirm how fabulous, wonderful and amazing we are. And when it doesn’t come in the form we expect (certain gifts, # of sales etc.) we question our self-worth and start thinking thoughts like, "Well, who do I think I am anyway?" Does this ring true for you at all?

So the shift here is to go with-in to receive all that you are wanting to receive "with-out." And then as you truly BE what you desire to receive the Universal irony is that then more of it comes to you from those outside sources. But you want to know what’s REALLY ironic? When you then do start to receive it from those outside sources you don’t NEED that validation so you are free to receive it with open heart and non-attachment. Now, that, my friend, is true freedom. (So I highly recommend sending yourself gifts: cards, flowers, jewelry – you name it! The sending part is very important rather than just going out and "treating" yourself. When you send the gift to YOU – then you get to experience the energy of RECEIVING it. Make sense?)

Great news… Your fear is ACTUALLY the key to what is being asked to be released once and for all…so you can step into the magnificent being you naturally are to support those you are called to serve.

So let’s check in…

How do you know if you are in Money Fear and more importantly how can you move through that fear?

First, your energy tends to tighten in your stomach, chest or throat when it comes to thinking or talking about money.

And you find yourself saying things like…

‘I’m broke’ ‘I can’t afford it’ ‘I don’t have any clients’ ‘I don’t have enough clients’ ‘Only 3 people came to my workshop’

How do I know this? Because this is something that used to happen all the time for me.

EnergyRICH® Example: I spent a lot of time being a single woman in Manhattan where I live, and I would go into a restaurant by myself to have lunch or dinner and I would be greeted by the hostess and I would say ‘Just one’.

And then one day it dawned on me what a low energy that phrase had, like there was something wrong with me because I was having lunch or dinner by myself.

Now if I go into a restaurant by myself, I’ll request ‘A table for one, please!’

Some shifts can seem really small, but if you’re saying or diminishing and talking about your experience as though it is not enough or to emphasize that you don’t have, then you will continue to experience that experience.

I really want you to connect with that last part – if you are constantly diminishing what you are receiving then you will continue to receive diminished results.

Second: you may find yourself saying you believe in something like the law of attraction and so you don’t say “I’m broke” or “I can’t afford it” out loud but you feel and think it anyway. It’s the same thing.

Whether you’re saying it or thinking and feeling it, you can’t fool energy. (That is one of my favorite EnergyRICH®-isms)

Please understand we are not in any way judging what current situation you might be experiencing. What we’re talking about how you react to it.

I’m speaking about your perspective:

• What you choose to see
• What you choose to focus on
• And especially what you choose to share with others.

What I have seen time and again is that your perspective can also be so unconscious. So it’s really helpful to have someone who’s got your back, someone who can say ‘You know what? You’ve got this, this and this to celebrate. Watch your words, watch your thoughts, watch how you feel.’

Third: You may find yourself thinking a lot about money – maybe counting it in your head – or the exact opposite which is going completely unconscious when it comes to money, or waiting for the other shoe to drop, insistent that it can’t work out.

Now, being in money fear might have you up at night, might have your mind spinning, and most likely you feel really alone; you don’t have anyone to talk to.

So you might be telling yourself the story that everyone else has this figured out – everyone else but you. You might find yourself extremely emotional, experiencing bursts of anger or bursts of tears, feeling like you can’t fully relax because you’re not in the present moment.

How does this impact your prosperity energy?

Being in money fear closes off your ability to receive wealth and not just in the form of monetary wealth but also in the form of inspired ideas.

And when you’re closed off to receiving inspired ideas, that limits your ability to be open to opportunities which limits your ability to generate more income.

That’s a mistake that I see so many coaches and practitioners and creatives making. You’re waiting for the money to come but meanwhile there’s so much fear activated around the money that the channel is closed or it’s very thin which makes it impossible to receive the inspired idea that’s going to lead you to an opportunity that’s going to give you the possibility to generate more income.

It’s not about the money. But when you’re operating from fear – and I want you to really get this – you’re using only 4 percent of your creative brain. How crazy is that, right? And especially, again, for those of us who are energy-oriented, spiritually-oriented, who are creative. We thrive off of having those neural pathways sparked and totally juiced within our brain but the fear closes off that creativity. And, the universe reflects back what you put out. As I said before, you can’t fool energy.

If you think money won’t come or you think it will leave, you’re right. Money is energy and it’s unattached. It just responds to what you project onto it. If you feel tight, frightened, limited, worried, concerned, your prosperity experience will be tight, limited and concerning.

1- Get Clear: What are your feelings about money? Are you in money fear?

Let’s look at what you can begin to do about it if you are.

First, it’s about being honest and energetically responsible. If you feel afraid, simply acknowledge it and acknowledge it with loving kindness. It’s not about whether you feel the fear or not, it’s about how you respond to it.

Second, my coach’s request for you is that for 7 days you record all of your feelings, judgments and meanings you apply to money.

EnergyRICH® Example: Watch yourself as you buy a pack of gum; is that easy to buy or is there some type of inner dialogue about what it costs? Do you not buy the pack of gum that you want and go for the less expensive pack of gum? Do you buy the pack of gum that’s more expensive and have to justify it for yourself? There’s no right or wrong and no judgment, it’s about being aware.

Third, watch the words you say and those that you catch yourself saying. Again, there’s no right, no wrong and no judgment; it’s just awareness. This alone will begin to shift the energy.

I know this is exactly what my experience was when I first began my self-employed journey. Actually I just wanted out of the money hell that I was experiencing at that time.

I felt this was not fair. Why did I have this struggle?
Why did I have this consistent chaos and turmoil when it came to money?
Hadn’t I suffered enough?

What I’ve come to understand is that it comes down to your relationship with money – that there is a direct connection between having a healthier, more conscious relationship with money and creating prosperity.

It is about your willingness to be honest and your willingness to change.

Now I know, no one is really talking about this. Some people are talking around it, but not about it. And you know why? Because let’s be honest it’s scary – it really is. It brings up a lot for a lot of people and I really, truly don’t care who you are or how much you’ve generated in your business or not; money is very personal. It’s a reflection of your inner self. (And believe me, I get it.)

But, you have a bigger mission. It is time to step up with ease and in the energy of full prosperity. It’s time for you as the healer to heal thy self, and then healer, heal others, and then healer, heal the world.

You’re human (we are all human, right?) And as part of being human, we need a strong motivation to change. You have to be willing to let go of the past and willing to move forward into the future.

Presenting a presentation, seminar or class is one of the most effective ways to make an impact on your ideal client and begin to create a relationship for life.

Key #1 – Offer Your Audience Chance to Get to Know You (the Toe-Dipper Approach)

Set yourself apart by giving just a little bit of an experience of you and your Unique Serving System (USS). Most speakers give it all away at a free class, and then try to sell an additional seminar with more details.

Let’s check in… Why would you need to go to that additional seminar/class?

What’s the draw to attend another program, especially if you feel overwhelmed and saturated from the first experience?

This is actually an energy mismatch to over-share and overwhelm your audience. Can you feel that?

Key #2 – Review Your Full System Briefly, and Then Highlight a Few Steps In Depth.

For example, your USS might be “Creating Your Ideal Business” and your system has 11 total steps. You can reveal all 11 briefly and really teach in depth only three of the 11.

EnergyRICH® Hint: Be sure to tell the audience up-front that they really need all 11 Steps but you only have time for three today.

Key #3 – Inspire people to take your next step.

Let your audience know that you do offer a next step, seminar, presentation or program where you review more of your tips/secrets/etc.

There is ALWAYS a next step. Learning is on-going.

EnergyRICH® Hint: Deepak Chopra, Wayne Dwyer, and all spiritual and as well as business leaders are continually presenting a next step. Go to their presentations and look at the back-end of the room!

Be sure to help your audience see the value of taking that next step with you.

For example: Comparable programs with this kind of coaching support would run $$$$.

And be sure to share testimonials from those who’ve been in the program you are offering.

1) Begin to explore what would be a JOY for you to present as a class or presentation.

2) Get clear about your next step, next opportunity… CALL TO ACTION. This is the TOP MUST DO. You have a lot to share. No reason to hide it.
